GCSE Maths Tutor with SEN Experience
Make a Real Impact as a GCSE Maths Tutor.
Are you a passionate educator, making a difference in the lives of students with SEN? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors who’ll provide personalised, 1:1 in Maths for GCSE students. These in-person sessions in Basildon offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

- Hour(s): Starting at 4 hours per week, building up to 7.5 hours
- Day(s) and Time(s): Weekdays // Daytime
- Subject and Level: GCSE Maths
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Contract length: Ongoing
- Rate of pay: £35 p/h
What You'll Do:
- Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individuals/groups needs and study level
- Plan engaging lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student
- Assess barriers to learning and create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Monitor progress, produce reports and adapt teaching strategies to achieve measurable outcomes
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in
- Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager
Requirements
We're looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
- Experience supporting students with ADHD
- Experience supporting students with Dyslexia and Dyscalculia is preferred
- An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The right to be self employed in the UK
