Data Operations Manager
With Intelligence is looking for an experienced Data Operations Manager specializing in hedge funds to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in leading the research efforts within the hedge fund data segment of our business, ensuring that we provide comprehensive and accurate insights for our clients.
As a Data Operations Manager, you will oversee the research team, guiding them in sourcing, analyzing, and maintaining data on hedge funds and asset management firms. You will be responsible for refining our research methodologies, enhancing data quality, and implementing streamlined processes to maximize efficiency.You will also engage with clients to understand their needs and ensure our research outputs meet their expectations.
This is an opportunity to lead a team of talented researchers while working closely with other departments to support the organization's strategic goals. You will foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes continuous improvement and innovation.We will consider applicants to be based in our London or Cardiff office and also welcome applicants who would prefer to be a UK based homeworker.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the research team focused on hedge funds, ensuring data accuracy and quality.
- Develop and refine research processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Engage with clients to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Oversee data collection and analysis, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, technology) to align research outputs with broader company objectives.
- Provide training, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance research capabilities.
- Relevant Experience: Proven experience in research management, preferably within hedge funds or asset management.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
- Leadership Qualities: Experience in managing and developing a team, with a focus on performance improvement and motivation.
- Professional Qualification: A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in finance, economics, or a related field.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Client-Focused: Strong commitment to understanding client needs and delivering exceptional service.
- Process-Oriented: Experience in streamlining processes and implementing best practices in research operations.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data analysis tools, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
