Financial Controller

My client is a v successful and profitable growing £10m t/o Fashion Supplier with a fantastic client base representing many of the leading Retail High Street names.

Based at their main Design and Distribution hub in Cheetham Hill, Manchester, this is an ambitious Owner managed SME with clear plans to expand their range of Brands and to further develop their additional E-commerce Sales channels.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will operate as part of the well-motivated and cohesive Management Team.

This is an on-site permanent role with hybrid flexibility to work from home 1 day per week.

Responsibilities will include:

• Head up a small efficient Finance & Administration team.
• Manage and develop 2 Assistant Accountants.
• Bed in and exploit the benefits of the recently installed Sage upgraded system.
• Production of monthly management accounts with insightful commentary.
• Production of "bottom up" Annual Departmental Budgets, plus regular Forecasting.
• Daily proactive interaction with all other business functions, with a key focus on Stock level efficiency.
• Close liaison with the Auditors to pull together the Annual Statutory Accounts.
• Regular interface with all professional stakeholders - Auditors, Bank, Insurance etc.
• Overall, to be a key member of the Management Team to support the company's profitable growth strategy.

Candidate Profile:

• Hands-on Accounts experience allied to broader commercial business acumen and proactive style/approach to be able to "add value" as a key member of the Management Team.
• Qualified or QBE, more important is having the potential, drive and ambition to develop the role in line with the ongoing business expansion.
• Experience of a Stock-based environment, whether in Industry or via clients in Practice would be a further advantage, although not pre-requisite.

In return, my client offers a starting salary up to £70k plus annual Bonus scheme plus pension/healthcare schemes with strong progression opportunities going forward.
