Senior Partnership Tax Consultant - Real Estate

Our client is seeking a Senior Partnership Tax Consultant with a focus on Real Estate. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in the industry for a leading independent property consultancy firm, focusing on Personal and Partnership Tax Matters.

The position is compliance-focused, offering you the chance to take responsibility for your own allocation of Partners’ Self-Assessment Tax Returns and reviewing those prepared by other department members.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Partnership Tax Consultant, you will play a crucial role in preparing and reviewing Partners' Self-Assessment Tax Returns, administering payments to HMRC, completing tax computations, allocating partnership profits, assisting with tax reserving matters, liaising with third-party accountants, identifying tax planning opportunities, and undertaking ad hoc tax planning projects.

Your analytical approach and high level of administrative competence will be key in ensuring the smooth running of these operations.

  • Preparation of Partners Self-Assessment Tax Returns including liaising with third parties where necessary and answering partners tax queries
  • Reviewing Self-Assessment Tax Returns prepared by other department members
  • Administration of payments to HMRC to meet partners taxation liabilities
  • Completion of the Tax Computations for the Partnership and Partnership Tax Returns
  • Allocation of the partnership profits between the partners for inclusion on their Self-assessment Tax Returns
  • Assisting with Partner tax reserving matters and producing annual reserving reconciliation statements
  • Liaising with partners 3rd party accountants
  • Identification of tax planning opportunities and identifying most tax efficient methods for claiming reliefs for expenditure, to reduce the Partnership disallowances.
  • Ad hoc tax planning projects as required

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Partnership Tax Consultant role will bring a wealth of experience in completing tax computations and personal tax returns. You should have a good working knowledge of income tax and other relevant legislation.

Experience with partnership and corporate structures would be beneficial. Your analytical approach, high level of administrative competence, computer literacy, particularly in Excel, will be essential in this role. Prior use of Digita would be advantageous.

  • Degree level education preferred along with CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification
  • Prior experience of completing Tax computations and Personal Tax Returns
  • Good working knowledge of Income Tax, and other relevant Tax Legislation
  • Experience with partnership and corporate structures preferable
  • Analytical approach and high level of administrative competence
  • High level of computer literacy including a good understanding of Excel
  • Prior use of Digita preferable
