An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Pharmacy Department Meadowbrook cluster for two Rotational fulltime Dispensing Pharmacy Assistants, to work alongside the pharmacy team supporting the dispensary and wards across multiple sites based in Salford, Wythenshawe and Trafford.Duties to include dispensing of medication, the supply of stocks to wards and clinics, carry out audits, receipt of goods in and general housekeeping.
You should have a good standard of Maths and English and be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent. (Dispensing modules as a minimum)
It is advisable to research the locations to better understand the impact on travel and to apply as soon as possible as the post may close early if sufficient applications are received.
Main duties of the job
Visiting wards for stock supplies and in patient top ups (including secure units)
Dispensing of medication including supplies for clozapine clinics
Answering the phone/hatch
Stock rotation and date checking
Preparing for scheduled delivery runs
Receipting and putting away daily orders
Drug returns

General housekeeping

essential
Essential criteria- nvq level 2 in pharmacy services (dispensing)
- 3 GCSE including maths and english
level two requirments
Essential criteria- currently working in a pharmacy dispensing enviroment
- experience in a hospital pharmacy
level 3
Essential criteria- good level of understanding of computer packages and adequate keyboard skills
- use of Ascribe pharmacy package
- expereince of clozapine
