Role - SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism)
Location–Altrincham
Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic SEN Teaching Assistant to support autistic students in a well-established secondary school in Altrincham. This role will be starting in the summer term and is a long-term position, you will be working full time Monday-Friday.The school is located near many public transport links including buses and trams, and there is also access to staff car parks.
Pay- £90 - £100 per day dependent on experience
About the role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant your role will involve providing support and supervision to autistic students in 1:1, whole class or group settings ensuring their safety and learning is always top priority. You will assist in evaluating students’ progress and learning targetsand also providing regular feedback to teachers on each of their individual learning progress and needs.You will be expected to lead small groups while providing the relevant resourcesand teaching strategies to support each student. This role is a very rewarding role and will further your SEN teaching assistant experience!
Requirements:
- GCSE level standard education or equivalent
- Passionate about improving the learning of autistic students
- Awareness and knowledge of pupils with emotional and social difficulties that impact their behaviour
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Confident leading small groups and monitoring students’ academic progress and struggles
