About the role

We’re looking for a creative, enthusiastic and organised Communications and Events Executive to join us in our Brand, Communications and Partnerships department.

In this role, you'll support the PR and Communications team in promoting our products, service information and views through tailored communications, newsletters, exhibitions and events, websites, PR, social media and more. You'll help tell our exciting story and ensure it resonates with our key audiences, turning complex information into compelling narratives.
You'll also support the delivery of a high-profile external and internal communications programme, creating engaging content for communications across all channels and delivering events to reach our stakeholder base, including both customers and colleagues.

Ultimately, this will help NCFE to increase its reach and impact and fulfil its charitable purpose of promoting and advancing learning.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Delivering regular communications for customers and other external stakeholders, including copywriting for newsletters, case studies, blogs, press releases, webpages, FAQs, social media and awareness days.
  • Supporting the internal communication of external messages so that customer-facing teams are briefed on all external communications and prepared to support our customers with any queries.
  • Planning and organising external events, contributing to all aspects of the end-to-end event process, including sourcing venues, speaker and colleague briefings, stand design, supply of exhibition materials and merchandise, event delivery and post-event assessment.

We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following:

  • Previous experience working in a comparable communications, events or marketing role or qualification in a communications-related subject
  • Excellent copywriting and oral communication skills, including exceptional grammar and spelling
  • Experience working with creative and print agencies
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Ability to work off your own initiative as well as working within a team environment.

The successful candidate will benefit from learning from the wider Brand, Communications and Partnerships team, as well as working closely with the Marketing Campaigns team.
