Job Duties:
- Provide specialised educational support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
- Deliver tailored lessons to help students achieve their learning goals
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as SENCOs and therapists, to support students effectively
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Knowledge of SEN legislation and best practises
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
Prior experience working as a SEN Tutor or in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of various learning difficulties and disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Patience and empathy in working with students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs
- Additional training in specific SEN areas, such as autism or dyslexia
Working Conditions:
- Work in a classroom or one-on-one setting with students
- Potential travel to different educational institutions or students' homes
- Flexible working hours based on student needs
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
