THE ROLE

We are committed to ensure we diversify our firm and continue to develop and nurture talent from non-traditional academic backgrounds, so we are pleased to be offering a full time Level 6 RICS Chartered Surveying Apprenticeship for entry level individuals that have a keen interest to start their career within the real estate industry.

The apprenticeship will be run over 5 years in partnership with the University College of Estate Management. Your time will be split between studies, with one day per week studying online, and four days per week at our London office. Please note that the University course is fully remote, and all lectures and studying will be online.

The Degree Apprenticeship Programme has been designed to include a mix of on- and off- the job training.

On-the-job: 80% of your time will be spent working as a full-time employee, contributing to the success of the organisation.

Off-the-job: 20% of your time will be dedicated to training away from the day-to-day work activities. This includes the formal degree qualification.

For your first 3 years, you will do 3 x 12 monthly rotations across various departments which could include; Development, Valuations, Rating or Transactions.

For the final two years you will automatically join our graduate rotation programme where you will work towards completing your APC to become RICS qualified.

  • This will involve providing insights into your skills, experiences, and creative thinking to help assess suitability for the role.
  1. Telephone Interview
  • Selected candidates will have a telephone interview with a member of the Early Careers team.
  • This stage may cover motivation for the role, career aspirations, and key competencies.
  1. Invitation to Selection Day
  • Successful candidates will be invited to attend an in-person selection day on Friday, 25th April 2025. Please ensure before applying that you will be available to attend this day as there will be no other opportunities to be assessed.
  • Details about the event location and schedule will be provided in advance.
  1. Selection Day (Final Stage)
  • The selection day will include:
  • Interview – A competency-based interview with the assessment team
  • Presentation – Candidates will be given a topic in advance and must prepare a presentation to deliver on the day.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES
  • Research, analyse and present a range of property data.
  • Inspect, measure and value a range of property types across England.
  • Appraise property using a range of sector specific valuation software.
  • Attend client meetings and provide written advice for clients.
  • Work directly with Montagu Evans Associates & Partners on a day-to-day basis.
  • Liaise and collaborate with various internal departments as well as external consultants (such as architects).

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS
  • To qualify for the degree apprenticeship, you must have the following (which is also an enrolment requirement of the University College of Estate Management)
  • 96 UCAS points (3 x Grade C at A level)
  • Grade C / Level 4 and above in English and Maths
  • It is a mandatory requirement, that in order for an apprentice to reach End Point Assessment, they must hold a Level 4 achievement in English and maths and be able to provide a copy of the original certificate of achievement.
