Business Improvement Unit

Business Analyst

Salary from £48,429 to £56,656 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £60,295 pa inclusive of London allowance (inclusive of a £6,000 market supplement which is periodically reviewed).

The Business Improvement Unit (BIU) was set up within LSE to focus on delivering projects which support both transformational change and operational improvement requirements across the School. This approach is designed to streamline processes and systems that improve how Academic Departments and Professional Services Divisions work, as well as enhance the student experience.

The BIU is reforming the way that the School manages projects by concentrating on user-led process change, which is designed during communicative and cohesive discussions and workshops.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join a dedicated team of Project Managers, Change Managers, Business Analysts and Portfolio Office staff, striving to be the centre of excellence.

You will be working with key Stakeholders on significant School wide projects, drawing on all of your communication, problem solving and negotiating skills to deliver high quality business analysis for projects within set timeframes.

Accountable to the Head of Business Analysis within the Business Improvement Unit, the successful candidate will have:

  • Significant experience of business systems process analysis, including designing and documenting ‘To Be’ processes and the related changes.
  • Ability to quickly interpret user requirements and produce viable proposals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues across the School with a range of technical abilities.
  • Significant experience leading on workshop facilitation.
  • Evidence of tenacity and patience, with a proven ability to use negotiating, influencing, presentational and networking skills to remove obstacles to process design and development.

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
