About our Nursery

At Busy Bees nursery in Warton, rated "Good" by Ofsted, we create a 'home-from-home' atmosphere where your child can truly thrive. Each age group has its own dedicated space, thoughtfully equipped with toys and resources that inspire little ones to become curious explorers.
Our large outdoor area encourages children to enjoy the fresh air and engage in fun activities, ensuring there’s always plenty to keep them involved and active.Conveniently located in the heart of Warton, North Lancashire, on Rake Lane, our nursery is just a 20-minute drive from Preston and a 30-minute drive from Blackpool.
We’re also close to BAE Systems, making us easily accessible for families in the area. If you’re planning to visit via public transport, local bus services cover the village well, with the nearest stop located at the Post Office on Lytham Road, served by routes 68, 76, 78, 698, 602, 639, 853, and 959.

Free parking is available for added convenience.Additionally, our nursery is home to some special friends—our pets, including chickens and giant African land snails! These friendly animals provide unique opportunities for children to learn about nature, responsibility, and empathy.

Role Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare healthy, nutritious meals that meet dietary needs.
  • Oversee kitchen operations ensuring food safety and hygiene compliance.
  • Manage kitchen staff and collaborate with regulatory bodies during inspections.
  • Maintain kitchen inventory and efficiently manage purchasing.

Required Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate:

  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above).
  • Experience in catering or kitchen operations.
  • Empathy and understanding – each child is unique.
