An exiting opportunity has become available within our Acute and Emergency Medicine Department for a Clerical Team Leader. The post holder will be working across both ED and Acute Medicine Unit supporting the admin team as a Team Leader. You must be enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking, flexible and have a can do attitude.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting and leading the clerical staff on the Emergency Ground Floor. This area of responsibility will include the A&E Department, Acute Medical Unit , Majors department and AEC.

In the absence of the Senior Clerical Manager the post holder will be responsible for providing a continued efficient operational service.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Team Leader to complete work allocated to them by Deputy Office Manager. These tasks to include:

To enter data and scan patients notes on discharge

To provide good communication with members of the public seeking to enter the emergency department and to be a role model to the other clerical staff .

To liaise with relevant departments throughout the Trust to ensure good lines of communication

To assist in filing

To complete SVL sheets as and when required

To assist in the setting up and participation of new staff induction into the department via the Buddy system. Complete appropriate paperwork regarding new staff performance and liaise closely with the Deputy Office Manager regarding progress and any problems to ensure prompt action taken where problems are identified
