Level 3 Early Years Apprentice (Apprenticeship)
Tiny Acorns is a welcoming and familiar environment for the children where the staff are long-standing, consistent and know the children individually. One of our main priorities is a strong staff team, with all practitioners trained or training to become at least Level 3 qualified, and where staff stay and flourish with our support.
We are looking for a Level 3 Early years Educator Apprentice to join the established team.The role will initially be training on the job towards a recognised childcare qualification, with a view to eventually becoming a key worker to a group of children, completing their EYFS tracking and carrying out observations.
They will need to be comfortable working inside and outside and have the ability to learn quickly.They will need to work as part of a team planning daily activities to develop all aspects of the children’s individual development within the framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
They will need to participate in regular parents' evenings, publicity and children's outings.
They will be required to adhere to all the Policies & Procedures of Tiny Acorns Nursery, ensuring compliance with the Children Act, Health and Safety legislation, all within the requirements and guidelines laid down by Ofsted and the EYFS.

Training
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Tiny Acorns will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:- Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
- Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
- Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through Tiny Acorn‘s dedicated training provider, Realise.
Qualifications requiredGCSEs in Math and English grade C/4 is desirable.
Must be Level 2 Qualified in Early Years or willing to undertake a 6 week skills bootcamp programme
Skills requiredMust be hardworking and committed, have good communication skills, a passion for childcare and very high standards.
