Senior Project Manager - Water

You will be joining a high-profile and established main contractor based in Derby operating in the water sector. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work, being Severn Trent's preferred contractor for the delivery of their non-infrastructure works, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development.Due to continued success and significant growth, they are looking to onboard a Senior Project Manager to join their team.
This is a full-time permanent position with flexible/hybrid working.
Your new role
As Senior Project Manager, you will be based out of their Derby office and be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Monitoring and reviewing financial and delivery performance on projects
- Ensuring successful project delivery by liaising with delivery teams throughout project lifecycles
- Creating and maintaining project programmes
- Holding accountability for compliance and health and safety auditing
- Approving invoices and ensuring payments are made within timescales
- Managing a programme of works and a team of project managers.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
- Strong background in project management within the water industry and a strong understanding of operational activities
- Financial awareness and ability to work to budgets
- Sound understanding of NEC contracts
- Ability to liaise effectively with key project stakeholders at all levels
- Full UK driving licence.
