[ref. o6641901] Quality Engineer
Introduction
In order to develop and expand the capabilities of SAFRAN Engineering Services in the UK, we are looking to recruit Quality Engineer focusing on First Article Inspection Report (part of DVI-PPAP in Safran).
The Quality Engineer shall work within the Quality Assurance Team / Program Quality Assurance Team on internal First Article Inspection Report (or DVI-PPAP), flash audit on various processes and containment action but not limited.
The individual will work in close contact with the customer and stakeholders across the business. Key communication and engagement to maintain customer satisfaction and confidence is critical. The role will based onsite at Pitstone, Hertfordshire.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the FAIR (or DVI-PPAP) process in order to create FAIR (DVI-PPAP) report (and potentially validate FAIR (DVI-PPAP) report after following the delegation process)
- Provide support to ensure procedures used comply with Safran, NADCAP and Customer requirements
- Liaise with the internal Team to resolve any issues identified in order to release the parts for use in production
- Support in checking qualification of the internal special processes based activities
- Provide support in ensuring the relevant items of the Industrial Validation checklist are correct
- Participate and provide input for requirement updates or equipment modifications as required
- Perform containment action as part of 8D problem solving methodology
- Perform flash audits on various processes and record evidences / data in the system
- Any other adhoc duties as directed by the QA Engineer
- 5-7 years experience of working within a quality engineer role within a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards (AS9102 essential, AS9103 and AS9145 not essential but good to be)
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures, tools, and methodologies
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
- Ability to compare specification and CoC with Suppliers
- Knowledge of 8D and other problem solving experience
- Manual inspection experience
- Motivated and excellent team player
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Be located in the UK and can provide evidence of the right to work in the UK
