We are looking for an innovative and dynamic Administrator to join us in Slough Mental Health Services.

Working as part of the Slough Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), the postholder is expected to act on their own initiativeon a daily basisto ensure the effective running of the service,prioritisingtheir own workload asrequired.

Hours are Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm/ 37.5 per week.
  • To be thecentral pointof contact andmaintainrelationships across the service,assistingthe team in the development and maintenance of efficient and effective office procedures.
  • Provide dedicated planning,coordinationand administrative support to team members, asrequired, including diary management and management of referrals andappointmentsand updatingappropriate healthcareprofessionals asrequired.
  • Attend designated meetings where the information may be complex and sensitive,takingand transcribing minutes. Distribute information prior to and after meetings ina timelyway.
  • Provide the point of contact for the team, dealing with telephone, e-mail, postal and personal contact from colleagues, clients and staff members from external agencies and the development, implementation and maintenance of efficient and effective administrative systems,practicesand procedures.
  • Responsible for the effective and efficient day-to-day administrative,clericaland secretarial support for the team; including liaising with GPs and practice staff, IPT and AMHP team members, colleagues from voluntary services, patients with MH needs/theircarers, primarycareand local authorities; contributing to the smooth running of the service.

The “must haves” for this role:
  • Knowledge of administration and/or office procedures and evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Previous knowledge and experience of working in a busy office and/or customer care environment, undertaking a full range of administrative duties and supervising the work of others
  • Good interpersonal, communication and reporting skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrating accountability for own work and an ability to work on own initiative.
