About the role:
Due to an exciting period of growth, Harvest Pet Products is recruiting for the brand-new role of Warehouse Stock Controller, reporting to the Warehouse Manager. The postholder will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, resolving any stock losses and stock control problems that arise.

Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will support the distribution process ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
  • Generate reports on stock levels, and inventory performance for management.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments and adjustments.
  • Monitor inventory turnover rates and address slow-moving or obsolete items.
  • Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming stock inclusive of quality control.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Implement and enforce proper stock storage procedures.
  • Perform regular audits to identify and resolve any inventory-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to forecast demand and plan stock levels accordingly.
  • Oversee effective and proficient storage of products.
  • Coordinate regular inventory audits.
  • Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions).
  • Covering warehouse manager role.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Stock Inventory Controller or similar role.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and systems.
  • Must be a logical thinker able to analyse information and solve problems.
  • Methodical and detailed approach to data accuracy is essential.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Forklift license and or Scissor Lift is desirable.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
  • Good Leadership skills.
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Active participation in inventory audits.
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Location: Keelby, Lincolnshire
Contract: Full time, permanent
