This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Quality Analyst and will play a major role with the technical design and development of the company’s technical offerings. The position is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities)Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications.
Conduct manual and automated testing of web and mobile applications.
Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and provide feedback on product quality.
Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected by new changes.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on potential quality concerns.
Assist in the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
Generate and maintain test documentation, including test reports and metrics.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in quality assurance.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven 3 to 4 years of experience as a Quality Analyst or similar role in software testing.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, QTP, LoadRunner).
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
Familiarity with databases and SQL for backend testing.
Experience with popular test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber).
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI) for integrating testing into the development process.
Skills in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) to evaluate application scalability and reliability.
Knowledge of security testing practices and tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite).
Experience with mobile application testing and tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso).
Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and tools (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
Understanding of BDD concepts and frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) for creating tests based on user stories.
Advanced knowledge of API testing techniques and tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, JMeter).
Ability to identify and assess risks related to product quality and propose mitigation strategies.
Experience in coordinating and conducting UAT with stakeholders to ensure product meets business needs.
Knowledge of data analysis techniques to derive insights from testing metrics.
