Teacher of Mathematics (Second in Mathematics)
Chigwell School is seeking a well‑qualified, enthusiastic, and ambitious Teacher of Mathematics to join our thriving Maths Department as Second in Mathematics. This is a full‑time, permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for an outstanding practitioner seeking further responsibility and leadership experience within a high‑achieving independent school.
The role involves supporting the Head of Mathematics in leading and developing the department while ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across all key stages. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum design, assessment, and departmental initiatives, teach Mathematics from KS3 to KS5, and help promote enrichment activities that inspire students.They will also play an active part in the pastoral and wider co‑curricular life of the school.
The ideal candidate will be a committed and enthusiastic Mathematician with strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching. The school is seeking someone who either has leadership experience or is ready to take on such responsibilities, and who is keen to contribute fully to the broader life of the school.
