ABOUT THIS ROLE
As Associate Corporate Counsel you will be a key member of Audible’s European and wider global legal teams. You will have a broad remit including content production, business development, marketing, product, and regulatory counsel, and more. You will work on a variety of complicated and sophisticated transactions.And will provide strategic and legal advice across a wide range of issues. You are customer-obsessed, enjoy being challenged, work independently, and deliver pragmatic and practical advice in ambiguous situations.
As an Associate Corporate Counsel, you will...- Structure, draft, negotiate and review a variety of complex commercial agreements, in particular with content and production partners
- Provide legal counsel to UK-, EU-, and US-based clients on European product and service initiatives and launches
- Advise clients on UK marketing law requirements and business development opportunities
- Monitor and lead Audible’s response to regulatory developments impacting our European operations
- Maintain or develop standard contract forms, policies and processes
- Instruct and manage external counsel

- Trained and qualified at an international law firm
- 2+ years post-qualification experience in commercial law
- Business fluency in written and spoken English- Experience supporting a digital media or content business as a member of, or on secondment to, an in-house team
- Demonstrates superior drafting, negotiation, organizational, analytical and communication skills
- Prioritizes and runs a large number of projects at once in a fast-moving environment
- Collaborates and builds relationships with lawyers and business owners
- Experience advising on consumer and marketing law matters
- Proficiency in an additional European language (in particular German, French, Spanish, Italian)
