What you'll do:
As an Assistant Finance Manager, your primary responsibility will be providing comprehensive financial support and preparing monthly management accounts. You'll also manage two Accounts Assistants on a daily basis and act as a mentor for your finance colleagues who are embarking on studies as part of their career development.Your role will extend to assisting with external reporting including year-end/ interim audits, and VAT returns. You'll be instrumental in developing the month end close process, driving efficiencies and streamlining systems/processes. Additionally, you'll maintain accounting systems and records associated with the entities in their remit.
- Provide comprehensive financial support
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Manage day-to-day activities of two Accounts Assistants
- Mentor junior finance colleagues
- Assist with external reporting including year-end/ interim audits, and VAT returns
- Develop month end close process, driving efficiencies and streamlining systems/processes
- Maintain accounting systems and records associated with the entities in their remit
- Conduct monthly variance analysis to support the Financial Controller
