Teacher of German
The Governors of this highly successful, partially selective, mixed school invite applications for the post of Teacher of German. The ability to teach a second language may be an advantage.
We seek a highly motivated and energetic candidate to join our very successful and very well resourced Modern Languages department as part of a team of specialist language teachers (teaching French, German and Spanish) and language assistants.
The vast majority of students are expected to take a language at GCSE and German is a popular option. You will need to be able to teach students up to and including A level.
In the 2024 A level examinations:
- 60% of A Level German results were graded A*-A with 100% graded A*-B.
In 2024 GCSE examinations:
- 30% of GCSE German results were grade 9, with 57% achieving a grade 7, 8 or 9.
