Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Darwen, providing vital support to children with Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Position Details:
- Full-Time: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Contract: Temp to Perm for the successful educator
- Location: Darwen
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting individual students with Autism, ADHD, and SEMH in a classroom setting
- Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment
- Working closely with teachers and other staff to provide tailored support for each child's needs
- Encouraging emotional and social development to help students thrive both academically and personally
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD, and SEMH
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential
- A flexible and proactive approach to supporting each child's unique needs
