We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to provide software development and technical support of our publishing applications software and systems. You’ll be part of a team who is ultimately responsible for the newspaper editorial and production systems.

About the Role
  • Implement new features, as well as make improvements and fix bugs in existing code in the newspaper editorial and production systems.
  • Work with editorial stakeholders to ensure that the systems continue meeting their needs and evolve the roadmap as required
  • Identify new technologies, industry trends, and best practices which should be incorporated into the roadmap
  • Architect brand-new software solutions to fulfil project requirements

About You

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

  • Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and frameworks (Javascript, AngularJS, Electron, React, HTML, CSS, Java, Perl)
  • Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (NodeJS/Javascript, C, Java/JNI, Python, Perl)
  • Very strong shell scripting
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
  • Multithreaded network development for real time client/server systems
  • REST API design and development
  • Familiarity with web servers (e.g. NGINX, NodeJS/Express, Apache)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop in particular)
  • Extensive experience working in Linux (e.g. RedHat/CentOS) and Unix-like (e.g. MacOS) environments
  • Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS, GCP and Azure

We operate in a hybrid working model with a mix of office based and remote based work. You'll be expected to come into our London office 3 days a week.
