Job overview

We are looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to work as part of our team in the Catering Department at Ludlow Community Hospital.

We are looking for a reliable, motivated and flexible individual with good communication and interpersonal skills suited to the special needs of a hospital environment along with a commitment to provide a high quality catering service and work as part of a team.

Main duties of the job

Working within a small team to maintain high excellent standards of cleaning, wash up duties and preparation of sandwiches within the catering department.
  • Wash up duties including using dishwasher.
  • Preparation of tea/coffee trolleys for meetings.
  • Preparation of sandwiches/vegetables, etc.
  • Assist with deliveries and putting into store rooms.
  • Maintaining high standards of PPE, COSHH, SCHT Guidelines, etc.
  • Maintaining high standard of cleanliness of staff dining room.
