Job Description- Monitor and analyse daily data accuracy and integrity across critical processes such as booking trade lifecycle, market data, fixing, pricing, and risk management of portfolios.
- Assign identified issues to the relevant team for remediation. Work closely with CCR, T2RS, RISK, GMQR, IT, and Ops teams. Manage escalation processes.
- Produce and maintain daily reporting of the above:
- Maintain an issue log.
- Track the progress of remediation, aiming to achieve resolution within the same day.
- Ensure re-runs are triggered and completed on time.
- Flag outstanding issues at the end of the day.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of implemented fixes, providing actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Raise any potential refinements in issue management procedures to streamline the identification, analysis, and resolution of data quality issues.
- Escalate to relevant forums like DATA CORE, GBL CORE, and the Data Quality Oversight panel.
- The Successful Applicant
A successful Global Markets IT VP should have:
- Strong understanding of financial markets, data management processes, and regulatory standards.
- In-depth knowledge of the production chain.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with a wide range of production teams and managers.
- Proficient data analysis skills to identify and classify issues from large sets of daily production data.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of desk-specific products and risks.
- Ability to follow risk and market evolution.
- Scripting language such as SQL or Python
