A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a patient focused Assistant Therapist, working with Trauma and Orthopaedic patients. The role entails assisting both the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist in supervising therapy programmes for patients before (wards) and after discharge (in the patient home).
A car driver is required for this role, as the main aspect of the role is providing therapy within the patient's home. To treat and provide quality care to patients as delegated by the responsible therapistwithin agreed protocols and treatment plans, as documented by the qualified staff.
Work unsupervised to implement appropriate treatment plans as designated by a senior therapist. Treatment should be delivered in the most appropriate location for the client, adjusting own clinical interventions based on the patients fluctuating needs.
To assist in the organisation and supervision of the work undertaken by Band 2 Therapy Assistants/Technical Instructors under instruction (as applicable). Carry out assessments and treatments of patients with varying degrees of disability on a daily basis, using moderate physical effort.
