Key Responsibilities: Establish, review and develop operational education provision for the nurses and support the provision of education for healthcare workers across the organisations To review and develop the annual Nursing Team education, training and development plans and provide opportunities for internal development of the whole nursing team.

Ensure clinical standards of care are evidence based and compliant with regulatory guidance including CQC and NMC code of conduct Ensure professional standards, training and education are in line with local and national policies To plan and maximize opportunities to deliver work-based learning for student nurses, nursing team and alliance practice nursing staff Develop, maintain and implement a competency based framework for all areas of clinical practice Show an awareness of your own capabilities and areas for improvement Share knowledge, skills and experience and work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders Provide guidance in the induction and orientation programmes of all new Nursing Team members Act as a role model, promoting excellence of practice through education, leadership, advice and support Create an environment to support inter and multi-professional working and learning in practice Inspire others to recognize the value of education which underpins and takes the practice forward Enable junior staff to develop their knowledge and skills through support and education in the clinical area Promote a positive learning environment for students and junior staff within the multi-disciplinary team and liaise closely with education link colleagues Support the development of a learning environment which encourages everyone to learn from each other and from external good practice Act as a resource for evidence based knowledge for practice development for all staff Promote a learning environment for patients, medical and nursing students, nurses and other health professionals.

To be responsible for your own continuing self-development, undertaking training as appropriate. To undertake other duties appropriate to the grading of the post as required. Must be able to work flexible hours. Education and Training: Facilitate the development of additional healthcare education in response to service requirements- locally, regionally and nationally Facilitate the development of professional development programmes for staff and the whole nursing team Developing training and development plans for new nursing staff, existing nursing team and Alliance practice nursing teams.

Enable the use of learning tools such as digital platforms Oversee the application process for study leave and additional courses in line with the organisations learners agreement guidance Facilitate effective learning across the nursing team and organization by acting as a resource and role model to staff Facilitate the development of professional development programmes for staff and the whole nursing team Act as mentor for staff and students, assessing competence against set standards Oversee the student nurse placement scheme, provide support and mentorship to placements and provide support and training to other staff members undertaking a mentorship role Prepare an annual report of output from the nurse training Growth / Change Work collaboratively with higher education institutions and specialist education groups Promote positive culture of excellent patient care, team working and compassion to new groups of staff To work with BMG management to develop any new business initiatives which may involve changes to and development of the educational needs of the nursing team To work with BMG management to develop the nurse team structure Maintain own professional registration and practice within the NMC Code of Professional Practice and undertake clinical practice to maintain active registration, be responsible for planning and assessing patient care when working in the clinical setting as well as delivering care whilst training other staff in their delegated role and supporting staff to deliver patient care.

Promote evidence-based practice through the use of the latest research-based guidelines and the development of practice-based research. Monitor the effectiveness of their own clinical practice through the quality assurance strategies such as the use of audit and peer review Participate in continuing professional development opportunities to ensure that up-to-date evidence-based knowledge and competence in all aspects of the role is maintained Record accurate consultation data in patients records in accordance with the latest NMC guidance and other pertinent standards Keep up to date with pertinent health-related policy and work with the practice team to consider the impact and strategies for implementation Work collaboratively with colleagues within and external to the practice.

Overseeing cervical cytology audit of inadequate smear rates Demonstrate leadership Organisational responsibilities: Undertake an annual appraisal for each member of the nursing team, ensuring CPD plans are monitored and executed in line with practice strategy Disseminate learning and information to other team members in order to share good practice and inform others about current and future developments (eg courses and conferences Participate and contribute to meetings within the organization, provide feedback and action as necessary Motivate colleagues and self to contribute to effective, efficient and economical use of resources Prioritise and delegate duties to others as appropriate, ensuring they are supervised and mentored as appropriate, taking into account their knowledge, skills and abilities, Recognize, evaluate and reward achievement for the individual Create a positive environment of trust, support and safety in which excellent clinical care will flourish and individuals will take responsibility for their own development and feel confident in escalating clinical concerns Maintain confidentiality in respect of patient, staff and commercial information obtained at all times, and use such information only as authorized for specific purposes.

To address and encourage personal initiative, the development of best practice, and to endeavour and inform potential development needs and any possible areas of underperformance. Facilitate staff members to meet revalidation requirements. Facilitate the learning environment for patients, nurses, and other health professionals.
To work at any branch of BMG according to the need of the organization To support the broader team in adherence to CQC requirements Health and Safety/Risk Management: The post-holder must comply at all times with the Practices Health and Safety policies, in particular by following agreed safe working procedures and reporting incidents using the organisations Incident Reporting System.

The post-holder will comply with the Data Protection Act (1984), Caldicott regulations and the Access to Health Records Act (1990) Health and Safety: Ensure all members of staff comply with the Groups health and safety policy Carry out risk assessments to comply with current Health and Safety legislation Ensure any health and safety concerns are reported to the Operations Manager To be aware of and adhere to applicable practice rules, regulations, legislation and procedures, national legislation (Health and Safety, COSHH, Data Protection).
