Stores Controller

  • Working Hours: 07:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a Stores Controller to manage our clients warehouse operations efficiently and effectively. This role is crucial for maintaining stock accuracy and ensuring that our production area is always supplied with necessary materials.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Oversee the stores team to ensure efficient and effective picking, correct booking in of incoming materials, and allocation to orders.
  • Maintain stock accuracy within the system, which is paramount to the unit’s success.
  • Implement and train the team in best practices for maintaining a fully stocked warehouse.
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are consistently met and plan kitting correctly with the team to support production.
  • Plan a minimum of 2 weeks ahead, taking accountability for the correctness of kitting and stock both on the shelf and in the system.
  • Report to the Operations Manager and collaborate as part of the warehouse operation team.
  • Uphold the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and ensure safety at work is always adhered to.
  • Be multi-skilled, willing to learn, and eager to take on additional responsibilities, covering for other roles as needed.
  • Apply creative problem-solving skills to effectively address issues, minimizing risk to the business and customers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in people management.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices.
  • Understanding of HR principles.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems efficiently.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage daily tasks within working hours.
  • Keen to learn new skills and tasks.
  • Excellent team player with a collaborative approach.
