Location: South BristolPay: £92–£105 per day
Hours: Monday–Friday, term time only
Start date: September (possibility of immediate start)
We are working with a friendly and welcoming primary school in South Bristol who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 class from September.
This is a general classroom-based role, supporting the class teacher and pupils across the school day to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
The role:
- Supporting learning across the Year 2 classroom
- Working with small groups and individual pupils as required
- Helping children to stay engaged, confident, and supported in their learning
- Assisting with classroom preparation and daily routines
- Supporting pupils’ academic progress, social development, and wellbeing
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider school staff
The ideal candidate:
- Patient, enthusiastic, and nurturing
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (desirable)
- A genuine interest in supporting primary-aged pupils
- Positive, proactive, and able to work as part of a team
- Able to commit to full-time, term-time hours
- Qualification desirable, but not essential.
School-based experience is desirable; however, we are primarily looking for the right personality and a genuine passion for working with children. Applicants with informal childcare experience (such as youth work, church groups, holiday camps, or similar) are also encouraged to apply.
