CNC Miller Setter
Job Type: Days based, Perm
Location: Andover, Hampshire
Salary: £16ph - £20ph DOE
Hours: 39 Hours per Week Monday to Thursday 8am 4:30pm, early finish Friday 3:30pm
CNC Machinist (Miller) required for a well-established company that is continually growing due to its continuing expansion. This is a great opportunity to join a growing business that manufactures precision castings including the automotive, military, transport sectors and bespoke high-end projects.
The chosen candidate will be experienced with working on a variety of customer projects, be able to run high precision components such as gearbox machining in low volume batches and inspect own work.
The successful CNC Machinist will have a strong track record as a CNC miller (any experience with Mazak, Fanuc). Be competent with geometric tolerances and have a methodical method of working, including problem solving.
The Role: Horizontal/Vertical machining centres, Mazak, Heidenhain, Fanuc Controllers.
When required editing of CNC programs on the machine for effective machining of components.Setting and operating of CNC Machines to prove out first off and production.
To work as a team to get jobs done when required in achieving customer requirements.
Entering data onto Routing Sheets and company based system.
Returning drawings, fixtures and tooling to correct locations after use.
Ensure production is carried out correctly for product conformity.
To work with Management to meet quality objectives, including continuous improvement, reduction in scrap rates and problem solving.
Be competent with geometric tolerances.
Have basic machine maintenance and good housekeeping.
Training available if applicable to support or further expand skills.
The successful CNC Machinist must have: ⦁ Experienced background in engineering CNC Machining
⦁ Engineering HNC level 3 desirable or the equivalent (desirable)⦁ Proven track record essential
⦁ Being able to problem solve
⦁ Work individually and as part of a team
