Therefore, two staff will provide cover for NELFT sites and one staff will cover ELFT.
The support would involve successful individuals playing crucial and constructive part in the delivery and management of the overseas visitors processes, which thus require, working collaboratively with all level of front line clinical and admin staff.
You will also be expected to develop and and maintain key working relationships with relevant stakeholders, including the Home Office, DHSC, NHSE and NHSBA, as well as liaise and provide support to service users. The role will include, the identification, capture, processing and recording of all overseas visitors activities across the various NELFT/ELFT sites in accordance with the existing guidance.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent qualifications and some experience of finance functions.- To identify, capture and record the overseas visitor’s activity data across all the NELFT/ELFT sites and services in relation to compliance with the NHS cost recovery - overseas visitors requirements and for income generation.
- To support the Head of Overseas Visitors in establishing patient’s eligibility for free NHS treatment by interview and implementing the Department of Health (DOH) overseas visitors charging regulations.
- To obtain and prepare NCA and overseas visitors activity data reports in conjunction with the Information Services Department.
- To maintain liaison while working collaboratively with key external stakeholders, including the Home Office, DHSC, NHSBA, NHSE, Embassy staff, Insurance Companies.
- To work collaboratively as well as maintain effective communication with senior clinicians, service leads, nurses, admin staff and other relevant departments in the achievement of the above.
- To receive monthly NCA data report from Information Services and ensure that the excel data is manipulated via lookups and pivot tables and validated using NHS spine.
-To actively participate in training Trust staff in the application of policies and processes and to raise awareness of the need to identify and charge overseas visitors as necessary. This will require sometimes-leading training sessions.
