Payroll Administrator part time
You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services to a portfolio of clients across various industries. Key Responsibilities Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients Input and manage payroll data, including starters, leavers, holiday pay, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.) Submit Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC Prepare and distribute payslips, P45s, and P60s Calculate and notify clients of PAYE and NIC liabilities Manage auto-enrolment duties including pension submissions and assessments Handle and submit CIS returns as required Respond to payroll queries from clients by email or phone in a timely and professional manner Liaise with HMRC and pension providers Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance Assist with general office administration as needed Key Skills & Experience Previous experience in a practice environment minimum of 2 years Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, tax codes, and pension auto-enrolment Experience using cloud and digital payroll systems Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines Familiarity with CIS processes (desirable) What We Offer hours per week, worked over 3 4 days (flexible schedule) Salary: £16,224 £20,280 per annum, depending on experience Supportive and friendly team environment Opportunities for continued learning and development Free on-site parking (if applicable) If youre a skilled payroll professional looking for a flexible, part-time role within a reputable practice, we d love to hear from you.
