NMIS is seeking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager to join the team. This role will work closely with all NMIS stakeholders to manage, co-ordinate and deliver the NMIS H&S Policy across all NMIS facilities. The post holder will receive and answer questions on a wide range of work across NMIS from the simple and straight forward to more complex engineering/scientific issues.

This requires a broad knowledge of health & safety legislation and possible solutions.

To be considered for the role, you will be qualified to degree level with relevant safety qualifications, with experience working within health & safety in a manufacturing, engineering or R&D function, within an industrial, business or university environment.

You should have substantial experience within health and safety, including machinery safety, COSHH, DSEAR, ISO 45001and preferably H&S auditing. You should be comfortable presenting to diverse audiences, with an ability to manage conflicting requirements and effectively transfer skills and knowledge to others.
