Primary SEND Teaching Assistant
A supportive and happy primary school in Westminster are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their committed team within Reception.
Working as a Primary Teaching Assistant supporting children with SEND, your day-to-day duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with early reading and early maths skills development
- Providing support for children with SEND in the reception classroom, so they can become confident learners and achieve independence in their learning
- Assisting with the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum and ensuring all children are able to access it
- Supporting the class teacher to implement the targets in children's IEPs
- Delivering interventions programmes and keep records updated with pupils' progress, working closely with the class teachers the impact of support and interventions
- Following the scaffolding framework to support pupils with their learning
- Helping children to build on their social skills and develop positive relationships
- Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development
- Motivating children to think creatively and develop their skills further
- Supporting non-verbal children in with Speech and Language activities
