Residential Childcare Worker
Salary: Scale 1C, point 2 – Exact salary dependant upon individual shift pattern
Hours: Shifts available are 7-9am Tuesday to Friday and/or 3:30-9pm Monday to Thursday.
Mornings - £5,768 – based on 7-9am Tuesday to Friday – 8 hours per week
Evenings - £15,868 – based on 3:30-9pm Monday to Thursday – 22 hours per week
Working Pattern: Term Time plus 2 weeks (41 Weeks) – the additional 2 weeks will be worked Summer Scheme (exact weeks and working hours during this time will vary annually)

We have an opportunity for you to join our highly motivated and skilled team as a Residential Childcare worker. This role involves working as part of a team to provide guidance, support and care to young people with complex needs, in a nurturing and homely environment.
Our main focus is ensuring children and young people are safe and get the best possible experience whilst staying at Richley House. They come to residential for the opportunity to continue their learning as part of the Waking Day curriculum and to socialise, make friends and attend a variety of clubs and activities including swimming, music, and Scouts.
The right candidate will be confident, motivated and well organised. Patience and commitment are essential with a desire to help others. You'll be working within an experienced team of colleagues committed to providing high quality support and education to the children and young people within Richley House.
You do not need to have previous residential experience as full training will be provided from our specialist team. Experience of working with children within an SEN environment would be a distinct advantage.
Candidates must be willing to undertake a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare if they do not possess this qualification
