Land Manager - Energy / Renewables

Location: Flexible - ideally based in the North of England or Midlands. Work from home with occasional travel to sites and HQ.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience) plus car allowance, 10% bonus, and excellent benefits.

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly expanding onshore renewables business specialising inwind farms,solar energy, andbattery storage solutions. This organisation is at the forefront of the UK's transition to a sustainable energy future, with a strong financial foundation, ambitious growth plans, and a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

As aLand Manager, your role will be pivotal in securing and managing land agreements to support renewable energy projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building strong relationships and negotiating agreements with landowners, farmers, and forestry managers to secure sites for renewable energy developments.
  • Working closely with internal teams, includinglegal,finance,planning, andengineering, as well as external consultants and contractors, to facilitate project progression.
  • Conducting assessments for land suitability, environmental impact (e.g. bird and wildlife surveys), agricultural use, and archaeological considerations.
  • Managing projects at various stages, from contract negotiation to pre-construction and construction phases (this is not a site-finding role).

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven background as aLand Manager,Estates Manager,Forestry Manager, or similar role, ideally within therenewable energy sector. Experience withsolar farms,wind energy projects, orbattery storage solutionsis highly desirable.
  • The ability to engage with key stakeholders, including landowners, project teams, and external partners, to secure agreements and maintain strong relationships.
  • Familiarity withforestry management,agricultural land use, and theplanning and development process for energy projectsis advantageous.
  • Flexibility and Mobility: A willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings at HQ, as required.
