SEN Teaching Assistant 2:1

Year Two | ASD | SEMH | Coventry (CV8) | £90-£105 a day | start ASAP

This is a long-term to permanent position, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on a child's educational and emotional development.

• Provide dedicated 2:1 support, assisting with learning activities and social interactions.
• Implement tailored strategies from the pupil's Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).
• Support communication, sensory, and behavioural needs, using visual aids and structured routines.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in classroom activities.
• Collaborate with fellow 2:1 Teaching Assistant, SEN staff, and parents to ensure consistent support and track progress.
• Have sufficient understanding of Key Stage one Curriculum.

• Experience working with children with ASD and SEMH in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies, including visual supports, social stories, and sensory regulation.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to engaging children with additional needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents.
• Relevant qualifications and experience in KS1.
