We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic senior pharmacist to make a difference and ensure the best outcomes for our cancer patients.

The post holder will work to ensure the continued provision and development of high quality, comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to patients as well as influence senior managers and clinicians within the Cancer Division. We will provide the successful candidate with a comprehensive induction covering all aspects of Trust work, support from

senior pharmacy staff and an environment to develop further.

postgraduate education.

 Act as a Senior Pharmacist for Cancer Services.
 Deputise for the Team Leader and represent the team within the organisation and across interface boundaries.
 Work as an expert pharmacist for cancer services, contributing to advanced decision making.
 In conjunction with the Team Leader, manage and implement services designed to improve the pharmaceutical care to patients and extend the boundaries of clinical practice.
 Identify and support the facilitation of CIPs within the relevant directorate and participate in financial reporting and drug budget management.
 Progress service improvement initiatives through multi-disciplinary working to ensure safe and timely provision of medicines.

 To participate in clinical audit, research, risk management and clinical guideline development

The successful applicant will enjoy working in a busy challenging environment, be able to manage multiple priorities and deliver against tight deadlines. You will have good communication skills and be an enthusiastic educator. The ability to work autonomously and with a high level of accountability is essential.

They should possess a postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent and have the relevant hospital pharmacy experience.

Experience of working and influencing in a multidisciplinary team and an independent prescribing qualification are essential.
