As Category Buyer you will play a pivotal role in supporting category strategy development and commodity risk management within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Commodity Manager you will lead on supplier negotiations, contract management and the identification of new sourcing opportunities.Your insight-driven market research and supplier engagement will ensure business continuity, cost optimisation and alignment with ESG commitments.
We are looking for a commercially astute procurement professional with:
Proven experience sourcing in food manufacturing (Ingredients / Commodities) essentialHigh level understanding of incoterms
Strong negotiation, tendering and contract management expertise
Market intelligence skills with the ability to interpret commodity trends
Experience in ERP and MRP tools
