We’re looking for a motivated individual to join us as a Maintenance Depot Driver at our TrainCare Centre. In this role, you'll be right on track, taking control and ensuring everything runs smoothly, ensuring trains are prepared and ready for service so our customers get the best ride, every time.

You’ll be the key to keeping everything running like clockwork, moving trains safely and efficiently, and ensuring they leave the TrainCare centre on time, every time.

Can you see yourself:

Shunting trains and keeping them moving within the TrainCare Centre boundaries, ensuring everything is where it needs to be.
Fuelling trains & Replenishing water tanks, keeping the essentials topped up.
Preparing trains for service, making sure they’re safe & ready to hit the tracks.

Following safety instructions and operating in a safety and time-critical environment to make sure everything stays on track.

Are you:

Adaptable? Our trains run 24/7, and you’ll need to be ready to switch tracks and deal with the changing demands of our busy TrainCare Centre’s.
Quick on your feet? You’ll need to stay calm and think on your feet, keeping everything moving even in high-pressure situations.
A great communicator? You’ll need to work with a wide variety of teams to keep the wheels turning.
Able to prioritise? You'll need to manage tasks and keep your work on the right track.
No train-driving experience? No problem! Our comprehensive training will take you from the classroom to the cab in just 5-8 weeks. After that, you’ll spend up to 6 months at our TrainCare Centres, where our expert team will support you every step of the way.

We’re here to help you move full steam ahead in your career with ongoing assessments and guidance.
