BAND 4 MEDICAL SECRETARY - 37.5 hrs (Fixed Term / Secondment Opportunity)
We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified individual who would be interested in Joining the Acute Medicine Secretarial Team, primarily based at Royal Stoke, with adhoc working at County Hospital.
We are looking for a reliable; self-motivator who puts our patients first, interacts well within a team, and who wants to develop professionally and supervise their own team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is required to provide comprehensive secretarial, waiting list management and administrative support to medical and nursing staff within a specialty team. The post holder will assist medical and nursing colleagues in the organisation of the specialty team workload, communicating appointment and admission related information to patients/carers.
The post holder will be compliant with the Patient Access Policy and Divisional requirements in terms of inpatient and outpatient waiting list management. The post holder will be responsible for the supervision of the administration team.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Good general education to include GCSE English or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
Essential criteria- Secretarial and/or clerical experience
- Experience of working in an acute Trust.
- Proficient in the use of IT systems; Microsoft Office, Excel, word and Outlook
- Good self-organisation and prioritisations skills
- Waiting List Management
