About the role

At Tesco, we believe in the power of spending more time together, face to face, than apart. So, during your working week, you can expect to spend 60% of your time in one of our office locations or local sites and the rest remotely. We also recognise that life looks a little different for each of us.
Some people are at the start of their careers, some want the freedom to do the things they love. Others are going through life-changing moments like becoming a carer, nearing retirement, adapting to parenthood, or something else. That’s why at Tesco, we always welcome a conversation about flexible working.

So, talk to us throughout your application about how we can support.

This is a great opportunity to join our Group Security and Resilience team! We are looking for investigation specialists who deliver high quality investigations and investigative support across the business into matters of a serious or complex nature.

  • Providing full investigation reports and case files for referral to People Teams and/or Law Enforcement partners
  • Ensuring that investigations are conducted in accordance with the relevant legislation and policies and that the highest professional and ethical standards are maintained at all times.
  • Providing a second line of assurance, specialist advice, and guidance to colleagues across the business who conduct investigations that do not reach the criteria for allocation to a cooperate investigator.
  • Building strong relationships across all areas of the business, helping to develop a strong security and investigations culture by raising awareness of and championing the Group Investigations Standards and other associated policies and Blueprints.
  • Ensure learning and recommendations from investigations are highlighted to the business and translated into actionable next steps to improve processes and reduce loss.
  • Maintaining accurate management information.
  • Interfacing with the wider GSR Team to support security, resilience and fraud risk management functions as required.
  • Continued self-development through a recognised CPD program, attendance on training courses, engagement with external industry/security bodies and active participation in the Tesco Intelligence Council.
You will need
  • Extensive experience managing investigations in a corporate or law enforcement setting (or a combination of both) including the management of complex or sensitive investigations.
  • Experience of working within diverse cross functional teams delivering investigation or security requirements.

  • Membership of a recognised professional body (such as Security Institute or ASIS)
