An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Research & Development Directorate to join us as a Senior Research Nurse working on our exciting Haematology research study portfolio.

You will be responsible for delivering and clinically managing your own portfolio of academic and commercial research studies in these specialty areas and also providing expert research support to investigators. This post will enable you to gain clinical knowledge and skills around a variety of conditions through working closely with the consultants and specialist nurses and multi-disciplinary teams.

Research Department

The Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust has a well-established research infrastructure running in excess of 300 studies across many specialities across the three Trust sites and also provides an outreach research service into the community. The growth in our research, development and innovation culture within the Trust has seen a year on year increase in the number of studies being carried out, bringing equality of research opportunities to our local population.

As a department we see research as key in developing and innovating safe and effective care for patients and the research teams are at the forefront of this process.

Although your main focus will be within the mentioned specialties, you will be joining a wider dynamic team of over 100 research staff who, across the acute and community sectors recruited in excess of 4000 patients in Cornwall in the last financial year.

Each year we aim to expand our portfolio to open studies in areas within the Trust that are new to research, increase our local research portfolio and attract further research to our sites.

If you think you could fulfil this position and wish to become part of this dynamic team, we would like to hear from you.

This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week.
