Derby Cathedral School, part of the Derby Diocesan Academy Trust (DDAT), is the first Church of England Secondary School in the Diocese. The Role
As a Pastoral Year Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting students' well-being and personal development. Working closely with the Head of Year and wider pastoral staff, you will ensure a positive school experience for all students, particularly those facing challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and supporting student behaviour, attendance, and progress.
- Providing care and guidance to students, including those with SEND, Child Protection concerns, and Looked After Children.
- Building strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to foster a supportive environment.
- Promoting the school’s FAITH values and ensuring a positive culture for learning.
- Leading aspects of collective worship and contributing to pastoral interventions.
- Supporting restorative conversations and conflict resolution among students.
