An opportunity has arisen for an Associate Practitioner to join our Community based Cardiac Physiology Team. This successful candidate will perform non-invasive diagnostic tests at our two Community sites in Roehampton and South Wimbledon.
Main duties of the job
This role requires candidates to have some previous experience working in a cardiac department and to have a good working knowledge of ECG interpretation. Applicants will only be considered for this post if they have an SCST certificate or diploma in ECG interpretation or equivalent.
Duties include performing resting 12-Lead ECGs and fitting ambulatory ECG and BP monitors and analysing results with supervision. You will also assist the wider Cardiac Physiology Team with more complex diagnostic tests such as Head Up Tilt Testing (HUTT) and participate in any associated clinical admin and training.

We are a small friendly team and and part of the wider St George's University Hospitals trust. The cardiac physiology service at St George’s is an education minded department and performs over 50,000 cardiac investigations and procedures per year.

General and personal
Essential criteria- Desire to work in a caring profession Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrates a sympathetic and caring attitude towards patients.
- Moving patients from chair to bed.
Organisational and Management
Essential criteria- General understanding of the health service
- Ability to work with minimal supervision when required.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential criteria- 2 A Levels in Science subjects or equivalent
- SCST Certificate of Competency in Electrocardiography
- Evidence of technical competence (assessed) in ECG recording, holter fitting, holter analysis and exercise test assist
- Experience working within non-invasive Cardiac Investigations
- BSc or Foundation degree in science or human physiology-related subject discipline
- Experience in Holter Analysis
