Join us as a Repairs Surveyor at Torus Group!

As a key member of the Assets team the Repairs Surveyor will assist in the delivery of a highly professional service focusing on
delivering all elements of surveying which will include D2D, HHSRS, Stock Condition, Forward Planning Surveys and customer

consultation.

An excellent knowledge of construction legislation and experience in carrying out all type of building surveys will be expected.

An excellent working knowledge of on-site health and safety legislation will be a requirement.

The post will be based in Warrington but travel to other locations will be required.

Responsibilities:

  • To carry out a range of asset management related surveys and manage works on site with close monitoring of contractor
performance, including updating internal systems as required to ensure that accurate records are always maintained.
  • To liaise with customers and/or stakeholders to agree modifications to design briefs and provide technical advice as and where
required.
  • To be the first point of contact for customer queries and complaints, taking necessary action to resolve issues as quickly and
efficiently as possible, minimising formal complaints.
  • To assess and design adaptations to meet the needs of those with disabilities
  • To determine the condition of existing buildings, identifying and analysing defects, including proposals for repair or
appropriate action.
  • To prepare orders for contractors including prioritising, costing and estimating.
  • To monitor and ensure projects are completed on budget, on time and to a high standard.
  • To lead all consultation and tenant liaison with customers and residents to ensure that there is meaningful engagement with
customers in the development and delivery of services through to completion and handover to manage the customer experience and
ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • To have an excellent working knowledge and experience of construction methods, construction contracts and the relevant

legislative health and safety requirements/ standards.

Skills and Experience:

  • Level 4 qualification in Construction or equivalent building experience
  • Evidence of and commitment to continual professional and personal development.
  • Must hold full current driving licence
  • Ability to travel to various locations using own transport with business insurance
