Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking resilient and committed Teaching Assistants to join various SEN Schools in Strood that cater for children with Complex Needs.
The Role- Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis with a range of Complex Needs, including ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviour.
- Managing and de-escalating behavioural incidents with confidence and professionalism.
- Being a positive role model and someone who genuinely wants to make a difference - this role is not just a 'job' for you.
- Taking initiative in the classroom and building meaningful, consistent relationships.
- Must be able to drive and have use of car
- Prior experience as a Behaviour Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or working in a pastoral/intervention SEN setting is highly desirable.
- Must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS (child-only) on the update service or be willing to get a new one. A new DBS costs £62 and we will reimburse the £62 once you complete 20 days of work with us.
- If you have been out of the UK in the last 5 years for 6 months or more, you will also need to obtain an overseas police check.
- References must cover at least 6 months from the last two years, plus your most recent relevant reference.
