About the Role

Install and or maintain all electrical & electro-mechanical plant or machinery in line with Company requirementsOperate a preventative electrical maintenance system to ensure that the plant & machinery are in good working order
Fault find and repair any electrical or electro-mechanical related problems on the plant or equipment
Ensure that you are aware of the Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and that you always adhere to them
Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve your efficiency
Always promote the quality of our products
Be aware of the effect that maintenance changes can have on product quality
Ensure adherence to Wienerberger’s quality system & standards in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001
Hours of Work: 6.00am to 6.00pm on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern
What You’ll Bring
Electrical engineering or similar apprenticeship with relevant experience is essential with a minimum NVQ L3ONC/BTEC – HNC/BTEC or equivalent in Electrical engineering
17th / 18th edition qualified
Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is essential; ideally heavy manufacturing (clay, refractory, quarrying, cement) or FMCG/Food
Good communicator with team skills
Sound knowledge of Siemens PLC’s – s7 TIA portal
Excellent analytical & fault finding / problem solving skills
Good knowledge of electric motors and VSD's
Good sound mechanical skills
Knowledge of Pneumatic and or Hydraulic systems
Working within a multi skilled team
Experience of working in a Safety-First culture
Ability to work on one’s own and make necessary judgments
