Bank Crisis Care Practitioner - Nottingham

The role of Band 6 Crisis Care Practitioner consists of answering 111 telephone calls, assisting with the query/concerns that arise, sign posting to relevant authorities, problem solving, shift lead and you will also be required to carry out assessments.
You will work with a well-established team of Psychiatrists, Nurses and Support Workers providing rapid response for adults who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis. The service gate keeps the inpatient beds and provides care in the least restrictive environment by offering an alternative to hospital admission through intensive home treatment.
You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to problem solve and be an able negotiator. You must have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, be reliable, motivated. You will need to demonstrate high functioning in risk management, communication skills with exceptional personal qualities to deliver effective care.
The post holder will be required to assess the needs of individuals when they are acutely unwell, develop and continually review treatment plans that enable the individual to manage their period of crisis effectively. You will be required to attend an interview and complete competencies in order for you to be successful within the role of a crisis care practitioner.
You must be an RMN or OT, hold current registration and have considerable experience of working with people with mental health problems in an acute health care/ community setting. The role is subject to DBS checks, references checks, completion of mandatory training and 5 shadow shifts.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
